Investigation into diseases of the internal organs of the body

The internal medicine department is run by Natasha Jocelyn and So Young Kwon, both specialists in Equine Internal Medicine.

The internal medicine team investigates diseases of the internal organs of the body such as the lungs, kidneys, gastro-intestinal tract, neurological system, eyes, skin and liver. The use of specialist equipment and techniques such as ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography, electrocardiography and laboratory testing are used to evaluate disease and make a diagnosis.

The hospital has purpose built intensive care stables, foal stables and isolation unit with specialist equipment and CCTV. There are spacious examination rooms with stocks for medicine investigations. The team of nurses and interns provide 24-hour care alongside the internal medicine specialists. We have an in-house laboratory to allow for efficient testing and results.
