Elaine Hilder

Laboratory Technician

Elaine lives in Lindfield, West Sussex with her husband and young family.

She graduated from Keele University in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and went on to complete her qualification as a State Registered Biomedical Scientist. After spending several years working in NHS pathology laboratories, she then worked as a Veterinary Service Engineer for a diagnostics company before having her first daughter.

Elaine joined the practice as a Scientific Officer in 2009, a role which she thoroughly enjoys, combining her interest in horses and using her skills as a Biomedical Scientist. In the in-house laboratory, she performs a wide variety of diagnostic tests.

Outside of work, her hobbies and interests include horses, cooking, gardening and crafts.
