Veterinary Surgeon

Hannah-Sophie (Hannah) is Austrian/British, but was born and raised in Asia. She obtained her Veterinary degree from the University of Sydney in 2012, where she remained on staff as a rotating equine intern prior to moving to the United States. There she completed both a rotating internship at Cornell University’s Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists and a Large Animal Surgery Residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Centre. Hannah-Sophie was awarded American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) Diplomate Status in 2019 as well as becoming a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS).


Some of Hannah’s early experience in the veterinary field includes volunteering at an elephant hospital in Northern Thailand and collecting data on Przewalski horses on the Mongolian steppe. 


Today Hannah’s interests include the diagnosis and management of performance limiting conditions of the equine athlete and the treatment of surgical emergencies of all equids.
