Although Hannah-Sophie (Hannah) will tell you that she is Austrian/British, she was born and raised in Asia. She obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Sydney in 2012, where she remained on staff as a rotating equine intern prior to setting sail to the United States. There she completed both a rotating internship at Cornell University’s Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists and a Large Animal Surgery Residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. Some of her early experience in the veterinary field includes volunteering at an elephant hospital in Thailand and collecting data on Przewalski horses on the Mongolian steppe. Today, Hannah’s interests include the diagnosis and management of performance limiting conditions of the equine athlete and the treatment of surgical emergencies of all equids.
