Mathilde has spent most of her life around horses and competed international dressage for Team Norway for many years. She moved to the UK in 2017 to study and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse at Hartpury in July 2021. She previously spent 6 months at Sussex Equine Hospital as a veterinary assistant and groom in 2016, then came back for her placement year during her university course in 2018. While returning to her studies at Hartpury, Mathilde worked as a freelance groom and rider as well as a night foaling assistant at a big thoroughbred stud in Gloucestershire. When she qualified as a veterinary nurse in July, she returned to the hospital for a full-time position on the nursing team. Mathilde particularly enjoys surgical nursing and neonatal care.
In her spare time, Mathilde enjoys travelling home to Norway, golfing, clay shooting and riding when she gets a chance.
