Olga Klecandova grew up in Prague and graduated in 2008 in the Czech Republic. After completing externships in the USA and Ireland, Olga went to New South Wales in Australia to work on a stud farm. Olga came to England in 2011, and worked for an equine practice in Lancashire, where she was involved in both ambulatory and hospital work and on occasion was called to assist with zoo animals too. Olga then ventured south and worked at an equine practice in Surrey before joining the Sussex Equine Hospital.
Olga completed a Veterinary Chiropractic degree in 2015 through the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic and is also a qualified Veterinary Acupuncturist. Her main areas of interest are poor performance in sport horses, lameness investigations and reproduction.
This year, Olga is thrilled to have completed her Post-graduate Certificate in Equine Sports Medicine.
Outside of work Olga is kept very busy with her own animals, a dog, cat and three horses, and competes in show jumping and dressage. She is also a keen skier, enjoys running and hiking, and travelling which usually involves veterinary volunteering in interesting places.
